The possibility of presence of BF.7 sub-variant of Corona virus causing havoc in China has increased in India. The Gujarat Biotechnology Research Center has indicated that the two positive cases have omicron sub-variant BF. 7 (Gujarat Omicron BF.7 Variant). This is the same variant which has created a ruckus in China. Both these cases are from Ahmedabad and Vadodara. The report indicated that one case is recent while the other is slightly older. Although the state health department officials have claimed that none of the patients showed any serious symptoms.
